About Waffles
Waffles is an athletic, active, playful, intelligent, smart, energetic and loyal dog that came into us as a stray.
This is a dog that enjoys using his brain and would be best suited to a working or sport home.
Waffles hasn’t mixed with any dogs yet but has been good while passing dogs across site and on walks – we
do hope to mix him soon and will update his profile with the info we gather from this.
Waffles will work for treats or toys and we do find a combination of the two works best for him, but his absolutely favourite thing to work for is balls.
Waffles knows, sit, down and paw and is working on wait, drop, middle, walking to heel, nose touch and ‘tidy’ (tidying up his toys!). He is such an incredibly
intelligent dog and MUST have an appropriate outlet for his energy and intelligence. He would be suitable for a variety of working or sport homes with experienced handlers who know how to meet
the needs of a working dog. He is an incredibly good boy but it is highly important his needs are met to ensure he can continue to flourish into the wonderful dog he is becoming. He speeds his way
through puzzle feeders and will look for ways to engage his brain so it is important to provide appropriate ways for him to do this.
He is not a massively tactile dog when it comes to affection, however when he builds a bond with someone, he will enjoy a nice cuddle and scratch, and does enjoy some sofa cuddles on occassion.
He enjoys playing with all sorts of toys but can rip up soft ones from time to time. We have found that he enjoys frozen Broccoli smeared in some paste or peanut butter and enjoys shredding these and playing with them!
He is full of beans but will make a wonderful companion in the right home with someone who is happy to put in the work to continue his training.
Waffles is a handsome, short soft coat dog. He would be ideal as a working dog as he needs lots of both physical & mental excercise and stimulation.
He requires access to private garden that has a 6ft fence (WILL JUMP OVER BOUNDARIES – NO EXCEPTIONS). He is only suited to a very active home with a lot of timje for trainíng.
Overall, Waffles will make a great pet for the right home.
