About Dolly

Hello, Dolly! Dolly is a fabulous, excitable, full of energy and beans puppy who is intelligent and looking for her new adventure.  A very active puppy who was signed over to Bristol ARC through no fault of her own.  In true puppy form she can be mouthy, jumping up and grabbing.  She needs an experienced home that understands that she is a young dog needing time, training, and patience.  She is very playful, never says no to a toy or a treat.  Dolly is a happy lady who wants to explore the world and learn new things, she just needs help to build her confidence.

Because Dolly is just starting out she needs to be the only dog at home. Her puppy ways can be rude to other dogs.  However,  she does need to gain experience with appropriate behaviour towards other dogs, puppy and training classes would be a great way to socialise her.  Dolly can be worried when meeting new people and until she gets to know you, she can be nervous and tuck her tail between her legs showing appeasement.  She also has some separation anxiety and will need someone at home most of the day to work on gradually building up to leaving her on her own for short periods of time.  Dolly has an athletic side and is amazing at jumping, she would require her own secure garden with a 6ft boundary.

Whilst at Bristol ARC Dolly has been prescribed a medication to support her in kennels and help with anxiety.  She will be adopted and weaned in her new home to help with anxiety.  The weaning dose of medication will be provided by Bristol ARC at no cost.

Dolly is such a cheeky little girl that she will soon have you saying, Hello Dolly, well, Hello Dolly, it’s so nice to have you here where you belong!

If you have time, patience and lots of love to give this beautiful girl, please submit an application.
