About Daisy

Say Hello to Daisy! Daisy is a stunning tricolour Spaniel with a fun, quirky personality and a very sweet nature. She came into our care as a stray, sadly no one came forward to claim her so she is looking for her new home. She needs a patient and understanding home where she can continue to grow in confidence.

Daisy loves playing with soft toys, enjoys a game of fetch and is quite happy entertaining herself too! She loves getting out for walks and exploring grassy areas, as well as chasing birds and squirrels at the park. She knows basic commands and loves her treats, especially chicken. Since being in foster, Daisy has become comfortable wearing her harness and walking on lead, although quieter routes aware from busy traffic are best for her.

Daisy can be worried when meeting new people, particularly if someone crouches down or tries to stroke her straight away. She will need a couple of meets with potential adopters who will allow her to build trust at her own pace. Once comfortable, she enjoys cuddles and lots of belly rubs!

She enjoys playing with other dogs out and about, although she can initially bark as they approach and sometimes gets overexcited and jumps up during play. She will need to be the only dog in her home and cannot live with cats.

Daisy’s beautiful coat will need brushing and her new family will need to continue helping her become comfortable with grooming. She has dry eyes and requires medicated eye drops twice a day, 12 hours apart. Chicken treats are particularly helpful when giving her drops!

This sweet girl’s ideal home will be calm and quiet, with a private garden, few visitors and someone around for most of they day. An adult-only home would be best, although a home with young people aged 16+ could be considered for the right match. Previous dog experience is preferable and her adopters will need to be patient and committed to building her confidence.

If you can offer Daisy the time, patience and understand she needs, this lovely girl has so much potential to blossom in her forever home!
