Rocky | Bristol Animal Rescue Centre

About Rocky

Rocky is a Jack Russell cross who arrived into our care as a stray and sadly no one came forward to claim him. Despite his age, he is cheeky and playful, enjoying toys and treats. He loves to be around his humans and can become a little distressed when he is left, so he would love a home with someone around most of the time. He will sit on your lap any chance he gets.

When out on walks, Rocky has a fast march and enjoys a good sniff about for around half an hour, before then tiring himself out. He walks well on his harness and leads. He can get worried by other dogs, so these are avoided if possible and he can be scared by loud noises. Rocky travels well in a car and is happy to be attached to a seatbelt clip attachment.

If you can offer this lovely elderly gentleman a new home, he has lots of love to give.

Please note

Our dogs are vaccinated against Kennel Cough using Versican Plus BbPi IN. There is an extremely low risk of Bordetella bronchiseptica (the bacterial component of the vaccine) being transmitted to humans. As a precaution, immunocompromised individuals, young children, older adults, and people with chronic respiratory conditions (such as asthma or COPD) should take extra care when interacting with recently vaccinated dogs or dogs showing signs of kennel cough.

Dogs may shed Bordetella for several weeks following vaccination. It should be noted that not all cases of kennel cough are caused by Bordetella, and the risk of transmission to humans is considered extremely low. These precautions are advised as a preventative measure only.

I am ticking this box to confirm that I have read and understood the information provided and wish to proceed with my application, which may result in me/us meeting the dog.

Before you go...

Once you’ve registered your interest in a pet, we’ll assess if you’re a match for them. While we would like to get in touch with everyone who applies, it’s not possible for us to reply to everyone. We would please ask you to be patient.

If you are a match, Bristol Animal Rescue Centre reserves the right to cancel the adoption at any point throughout the process. While we make every effort to find the perfect pairing for you, circumstances can sometimes change and therefore Bristol Animal Rescue Centre may, on rare occasions, need to cancel adoptions. We’ll always be in touch to discuss this with you and explain why.
