About Jimothy

Introducing Jimothy, a handsome, adorable scruff ball with a medium-length, softish wire coat and a wonderfully playful personality. This special boy came into Bristol ARC after he had been found straying.  He’s a real goofball and is excitable, affectionate and always ready for some fun!

Jimothy loves playing with toys, especially soft squeaky ones, and absolutely loves his food. He enjoys zooming around and having fun, but he’s also keen to learn. He already knows sit, down and is working on drop. He’s a quick learner and would really enjoy continuing his training with his new family.

He has been friendly with everyone he has met and enjoys spending time with other dogs. He can be a little nervous when first meeting them, but after a short walk together he generally relaxes and warms up quickly.  He is currently in a foster home with another dog, if he was to live with an existing dog in the home, they would need to be of medium size and not a rough and tumble kind of companion as Jimothy prefers a game of chase.

While Jimothy has been in kennels, he has shown some signs of separation anxiety and can be destructive with his bedding and toys. We are hoping that whilst he is in foster, we will have a better idea of how he manages in a home environment.

Jimothy walks lovely on a harness and would need 1 – 2 walks a day.  Due to him having a high prey he must remain on the lead or long line when out of the house, unless muzzled or in a secure field.

If you have your own secure garden with a 6 foot and above boundary and is at home most of the time, you could be the perfect match for this lovely boy.

**Jimothy will be adopted with a neuter agreement for his adopter to return him to Bristol ARC  for the operation, this is covered by the adoption fee.
