Left Behind Like Yesterday’s Rubbish

Bullseye is an 8-year-old Jack Russell Terrier who came into Bristol A.R.C. as a stray.

When he arrived, he had numerous cuts and scabs across his face and ears, and it was clear he had not had an easy life. No older dog should end up alone, frightened and unwanted.

The saddest part? Bullseye still loves people.

Despite everything he’s been through, Bullseye remains incredibly affectionate and trusting. He adores human attention and will happily rub his head into you for more fuss if he thinks you’ve stopped stroking him too soon.

Bullseye is now looking for a very special retirement home where he can finally feel safe, comfortable and loved.

Sadly, Bullseye is in the earlier stages of losing his vision. In unfamiliar places he can sometimes walk into things, although once he learns his surroundings he still enjoys having a run around and exploring. At the moment, there is no way of knowing how quickly his eyesight may deteriorate.

He also has ongoing skin issues that are currently being managed successfully through diet and medication, and any adopter will need to continue this care with their own vet.

Bullseye would love a calm home with a secure garden where he can enjoy 1-2 shorter walks a day on familiar routes, plenty of sniffing opportunities, and lots of time curled up beside his people.

He cannot live with dogs or cats, but could live with children aged 12 and over.

After everything he’s endured, Bullseye deserves to spend his later years knowing comfort, patience and kindness.

Bullseye still believes someone will love him.
