Join us for our biggest year yet

This year marks 135 years of our charity – we have been helping, healing and homing Bristol’s pets and wildlife here in the same part of the city since 1887.

To celebrate just how far we’ve come, and to secure the future of care for vulnerable animals here in Bristol, we’re asking for your support to make this our best year yet. Join us in celebrating our history - and our future - throughout the year. We've got family friends events, behind the scenes tours and much more. Take a look at our events here.

Take on a challenge
In this very special year, we’re asking supporters to take their fundraising to the next level. Run, walk, skip, cycle, swim, roll or flop - your challenge, your way! Raise £135 or more and receive an exclusive Bristol A.R.C. wooden medal as a thank you.

Whether it's a twist on your favourite hobby, or an event at your local park, every fundraiser makes a difference. By raising money for us, you'll join animal lovers from across Bristol and beyond to provide support to animals in their time of need. Remember, our fundraising team are always on hand to help with all your event needs, whether that’s through our fundraising packs, providing posters and sponsorship forms, helping you promote your fundraiser or just a quick chat, we’d be delighted to hear from you. Get in touch with us at to find out more, or take a look at some ideas here.

Every penny raised will go towards the animals in our care, and give pets like Agatha a second chance at a happy life. Read Agatha's story here.

Join the trail
This summer, to mark our anniversary as Bristol’s oldest and largest animal charity, we’ll be launching an interactive city-wide trail featuring our mascot, Parker the Dog.

We’ll be partnering with local tourist attractions and businesses to produce a story trail around the city. It’ll be a fun activity for all the family to participate in during the school holidays, with prizes to be won at the end.

We’re still finalising the details, but watch this space for more information coming soon…

If you’re a local business keen to get involved, please contact our Corporate Fundraiser Laura Daniel on for more details.
