Meg was found in the early hours of the morning tied to a bench in a large field back in January. Her lead was covered in ice and her fur was frosty, suggesting she had been there for a while, possibly all night, before being found.
She was brought into our care by the Dog Warden, and our team quickly set about providing her with lots of love and care, and of course the veterinary checks and treatment she needed. We quickly discovered that she was also suffering from a phantom pregnancy. This can be very distressing for dogs, so her carers spent the next few weeks keeping her comfortable and being understanding of what she was going through.
Thankfully, because of supporters like you, Meg got all the care she needed, and we were able to help Meg get back on her paws and help her to trust again. Now that she is through her phantom pregnancy and has been spayed, she is feeling much more like her normal self, and her real cheeky character is able to shine through. Meg loves to go on her walks, get cuddles, and steal her favourite toys to take back to her kennel.
We're delighted that Meg now has a new family ready and waiting to give her the loving home she deserves.
This work simply couldn’t happen without our supporters, who help to fund essential time with our Animal Care team, without whom, Meg would’ve had a much tougher time. Thank you for giving Meg the fresh start she deserves. Click here to make a donation to help other animals like Meg.
