Animal emergency

If your pet suddenly becomes ill you need to call your own vet for advice and an urgent appointment. Outside of working hours all vets will provide access to an emergency veterinary service on their answerphone, please listen to the information provided carefully.


Emergency for an animal that is not your own?

If you have found an injured or sick straying animal (including wildlife) please call us on 01179 724 567 Monday – Friday from 9 am – 4 pm, we will usually ask you to bring the animal to our Clinic here on Albert Road - please always call us first.


Out of hours emergencies

If you have found an injured or sick animal outside of our Clinic opening hours you can contact our emergency out of hours number 01179 724 567. Our staff are here to help and will be able to provide information and advice over the phone, and if appropriate they will direct you to our emergency out of hour’s veterinary provider. Please note that you will need to be able to transport the animal to our out of hours veterinary provider, we are unable to transfer animals ourselves as we do not have a Clinic team available overnight or at weekends.
