If you’re highly-organised and motivated professional, with proven fundraising skills and a passion for helping animals, Bristol Animal Rescue Centre would love to hear from you! We’re the City’s largest and oldest animal rescue charity and we’re looking for a Community Fundraiser to join our lovely Fundraising and Communications Team.
You will develop relationships and grow income across a wide range of new and existing community groups including; companies, schools and individuals. Your strong interpersonal and communication skills will support, develop and inspire volunteers and community groups to raise money for their local animal rescue centre – and continue year after year.
This role aims to increase the income of our existing portfolio of community and volunteer led events and activities, and develop new fundraising opportunities within Bristol’s amazing and diverse communities. The role involves fundraising through all the usual community channels (rotaries, schools, church and volunteer groups) but we’re also keen for you to use your skills and experience to help develop our community activities and offerings too.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated professional who can inspire and enthuse people to raise income for our fantastic and well-loved local charity. You’re confident to get out in our local community and be the public face of Bristol Animal Rescue Centre. Experience of achieving financial targets is essential, as is a knowledge of fundraising and volunteer management.
Based at our Albert Road site in St Philips, Bristol, if you have the right skills and experience (and you’re looking for a role where there are occasionally dogs in the office!) get in touch. We’re for pets, for people and for Bristol.

Salary: £23,460 - £25,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Full or part time considered. Full time: 35 hours, 9am – 5pm Monday – Friday (with occasional evenings/weekend hours). Part-time: We’re interested in hearing from experienced candidates looking for 25 hours per week part time or over.
